Just 8 miles east of Sandpoint is the world-class, 18-hole, Hidden Lakes Golf Resort on the shores of the Pack River and Lake Pend Oreille. The resort has a new 17,000 square-foot clubhouse constructed of timber and native rock. Surrounded by mountains wrapped in blankets of towering, dark green pines, and decorated with graceful, swaying aspens and poplars, Hidden Lakes Golf Course is another of North Idaho's undiscovered treasures. Built along the Pack River Delta, the course features water views on nearly every hole, wooded serenity unmarred by the hassle of daily life (no cell phones on this course), and challenging fairways and greens, the Hidden Lakes Golf Resort can cater to every golfers desires. Play golf among nature, under the watchful eye of moose wading in the river, deer wandering through the trees, and eagles soaring overhead. Hidden Lakes Golf Resort was rated the most challenging course in the Inland Northwest.
The closest golf course lies two miles from downtown Sandpoint: Elks Golf Course features 9 holes and a new clubhouse. Elks Golf Course is located on Highway 200. A short driving distance away is the Priest Lake Golf Course in Coolin - also an 18-hole course - and Stone Ridge in Blanchard. Both of these courses are 18-holes, but if a shorter game is more your speed, check out Mirror Lake Golf in Bonners Ferry located approximately 30 miles north of Sandpoint or The Ranch Club Golf Course in Priest River, about 25 miles to the west.
